Had a yummy croque-madame for breakfast by █████████████.

We booked kayaking for today. Rode to the beach for 25 minutes, which was on the other side of the lake. Since it was my first time kayaking, I’ve decided to be careful and put away my phone and watch and everything else into the locker. █████████████ took his phone with him and was the only one taking photos.
The mountains around us were extremely beautiful. For some reason I thought that kayaking would be harder/more complex, but it was surprisingly simple. It was tiring at times, but fun. We went along the river for about 6 kilometers before turning back, and also visited a lil cave. There was a lot of paragliders above us, and it unironically made me want to do it too. I would probably be too scared to do it, but it’s very enticing…
Going back was a bit harder, and I was quite tired at the end. Overall we kayaked for about 12 kilometers.

We came back home, had another yummy █████████████ meal and rested for a while.

Next up in the plan was hiking (although once again, barely, as 90% of effort was done by car) to Semnoz. We left our car in the parking spot and went into a bit of a detour through the forest.

After a pretty short hike the forest started to clear up and nice pastures started to appear. I really liked the blend of tree chunks, pastures and the cell tower here.
Incredibly beautiful top of the mountain. You can see Mont Blanc from here. Our main goal was to see the sunset, and we arrived about 40 minutes early. It was quite cold on top due to wind, elevation and night coming up. We walked through the hills for a bit to warm up while waiting for the sunset.

Well, sunset was a very disappointing one, since it got covered by clouds. But I got a very nice photo of Mont Blanc with orange light, so overall I’m satisfied.

We walked back to the car through the road instead of the same path we took here, since it was faster and less dark here.

We kinda wanted to go to a restaurant when we were going back, but it was too late, and after a ton of thinking we ended up getting le frenchslop aka french tacos, and drinking white wine with it… And also watched ratatouille while eating… A very french night many would say.
Ratatouille is probably my favorite Disney cartoon. I really like the spaces in the walls and the little rat base they had in the sewers and on the ceiling. And the original Linguini’s small apartment is literally my dream. When I was a kid Ratatouille game was one of my favorites and I think it generally influenced me to really like small cozy dirty spaces like these. It never really went away.
Back in times I would play this game on a disk that my friend would sometimes bring, and I really wanted to have my own. After begging my parents for a while me and my brother convinced the parents and we got the expensive disk… But it ended up just the movie itself, not the game… Probably one of the most disappointing events of my childhood.
