Today’s our last day in France. We got our stuff packed and left the apartment at 11:40. We got into the car and drove to the centre to eat… well, tried to. The city was full of traffic and every single parking spot was full and literally had lines of cars waiting for other cars to leave. I’ve never seen anything like this.

█████████████ also somehow managed to turn into wrong way of one-way road literally in front of police. He turned around and we looked at police staring at us very judgingly. They were busy with something else, and if they weren’t, I’m sure they would stop us…

After riding around the town like this for some time we got no better idea than to just comeback to our place and walk to centre by foot. If we did that from the start we’d already be done with our food.

We walked into a decent looking restaurant that accepted █████████████'s vacation vouchers and sat there. The service was really slow, which was the only issue with this place. I got myself Moelleux du Revard, and it was literally the better fondue. Smaller, managable pot of cheese and very yummy potatoes instead of just bread. It was the best meal I’ve had in France, even though it was quite simple.

We got ourselves desserts too since it was free anyways. I couldn’t finish more than 1 profiterole, I was too full…

Once we were done, we went back to the car and drove to Carrefour. Since we are going to ultra-expensive Switzerland, our plan was to buy groceries for a week ahead to not have to buy anything in Switzerland or eat at restaurants there. Well, going shopping for a week ahead while very full wasn’t the greatest idea. I think we ended up getting like 3-4 days of food max and also got a ton of random slop.

We tetris-ed all our stuff into the car and finally could leave Annecy. It was really hot outside, probably the hottest day so far, so I was happy to leave to much colder Switzerland today.

What followed was an insanely beautiful road to Switzerland.

We crossed the border to Switzerland and views only got even better. We stopped at a nice spot with a view on city of Sion for a small break.

While riding up the mountain to our apartment in Veysonnaz, I saw them, the god rays I’ve wanted to see for years. This was one of the most divine views I’ve ever seen, and sadly the view kept getting blocked by random obstactles in front of the camera.

We got into our apartment, and my god the view is just too good… The godrays still were here and it was divine. It’s gonna be very difficult to ever find something as good as this literally ever in my life.

We unpacked our stuff into the apartment and after looking at the view for a while we got the snacks and played the most beautiful Scrabble game of our lives.

We played until the wind destroyed our board and made it impossible to finish it, and afterwards we did some attempts at astrophotography with mixed results.

Switzerland is ridiculously beautiful.
