Had a pretty chill morning. We went to meet █████████████ who arrived at the train station. The station had a pretty dangerous platform. ███████████████████
We came back quickly so I got my camera and he off-loaded his backpack. We then went to the city centre.
Well, damn. It’s beautiful. This is my third day in France, but this is the first time we saw the actually beautiful part of the city. So far we’ve mostly only been in residential areas, which look pretty generic and similar to other parts of Europe. There was a lot of people, but it was pretty managable. █████████████ was pretty interesting, I liked the conversations we’ve had.

I’ve wanted to try fondue for probably years at this point. We were hungry, it was a cloudy and soon rainy day, so we’ve decided it was the best possible time to try it out. We’ve looked at a couple of restaurants, but stopped at the L’Eridan and got ourselves a fondue. It was very good, although I was slightly disappointed it was only bread and no vegetables to dip into it. I think vegetables only comes with raclette, which is a pretty similar dish. The liquidy cheese near the walls was the yummiest.

While we were eating, it started raining. We just enjoyed the rain atmosphere and since we couldn’t go anywhere we ordered some desserts, even though we were full from fondue alone. I got a liquid chocolate thing (forgor name) with ice cream, which was very good.

The photo of dessert was mere seconds before the disaster, because it started raining hard. Really hard. The rain started dripping everywhere on the table, and the umbrellas above couldn’t protect us anymore. We ate it very quickly and got out to inside of the restaurant to get protected from the rain.
The bill was paid and we then went into a tunnel nearby to wait for the rain to end. I think we stood there for about 20-30 minutes before rain became managable.
It still rained a bit, but we started walking around the city. There was a bit less people around, which was nice. We went to the castle, but the entrance was paid, so we didn’t bother. Walked into a few beautiful churches instead.
While walking around, I realized that I’m actually feeling quite ill after fondue… It was way too much cheese, the most cheese I’ve ever eaten in my life. My stomach felt bad and I actually had a headache (which I literally never do usually).
We went back home afterwards, and I fell into a cheese nap, while █████████████ fell into the cheese coma. I woke up just as █████████████ was already leaving, so sadly we didn’t even really play anything together, despite him bringing some games.
We bedrotted for quite a while overall. I went through the photos as always. When it got dark, we played some more card games, and then decided to walk into the city centre again while it’s night.

The lake had almost no illumination and was boring. I also didn’t have my contact lenses anymore, so it was a lil sad.
The city has a nice vibe at night too… I like how the photos turned out for both day and night. My favorite place in the city is the irish pub, a bit ironically, but I just love the decor and general vibe around them. So cozy.
