We woke up early again to check out at 10 AM. Felt a bit sad to leave Switzerland, and we all felt like Italy is gonna be much more lamer.
The clouds were low in the sky and sleeping on the mountains.
As we followed the GPS without much thought, we got closer to the border of Italy. The GPS made us turn into a bit of a strange road, which had toll. Being used to tolls at this point, we paid for it and got given some strange safety instructions…
Then we saw a few cars just standing in front of us and blocking the way. And then we looked more at the text and the surroundings and realized… We went onto the car train! Well, that was a bit of a surprising move.
We’ve waited for about 30 minutes to actually get onto the train, and then it was about 20 minute drive through the tunnel on the train. I’m not sure if it was worth it, since the ETA for a normal road also says about 30 minutes, but it was an experience I won’t forget.
We drove off the train and got our first border control check during this trip. It’s been a while since I’ve had one, and it reminded me of some bad memories from the past.
It was a long road to our new place at lake Como from then. The views were nice near the border with Switzerland, and mountains felt quite different from the swiss side - more rugged and green. It was also suddenly much hotter here. The same mountains were protecting the Switzerland from the heat.
We drove away and the views have ended and became flat and boring for a while, until we’ve finally reached the lake.

Our first meal of the day was, of course, pizza. The first italian pizza. I wasn’t very impressed by it, but I think we may have went to not the most authentic place. Or authentic pizza is just a bit boring, which I also expected. It was also very hot and I was very tired.
We walked around the town a bit more, before actually getting to our place, since we had to check in only from 4 pm. I enjoyed the architecture and cozy little alleyways.
So far, even though we were in front of a beautiful lake, I feel like we weren’t impressed by it much. Seems like Switzerland really spoiled us with it’s views…

After going to the supermarket for possibly last shopping, we drove into our town, parked the car in a very inconvenient spot, and then walked fair bit to reach our place.

The apartment was… okay. God, how spoiled I have become, lol. It has an awesome view on the lake (it’s literally on the beach), but the insides weren’t as nice, and it felt a bit unkept.

Being VERY tired at this point, I felt quite hollow knowing that today was the day of Tyler the Creator concert at 21:00. I tried to rest as much as possible before we went off to drive a hour to Rho. We ended up being stuck in the traffic for 30 minutes.
We arrived about an hour early, but there was already a lot of people (expectable, originally we wanted to come 2 hours early). Didn’t get the best spots, but they were neither the worst.
It was a bit boring to wait for the concert, and I didn’t exactly know what to expect. Some random band was performing before Tyler came, and neither us nor the crowd were that impressed by it. They stopped performing about 20 minutes before 21:00, and we all thought that it meant that it’s starting soon, but we ended up having to wait til like 21:30 for him to finally show up.

It was… one of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced in my life. Singing along with thousanda of people was incredible. The enegy was actually insane. I sang so much and so loud my voice got cracked for the rest of the night after. Overall I was SUPER satisfied, it beat my expectations 10-fold. I was scared that he would play mostly «Dont tap the glass» songs which most of them I don’t like much, but it was very varied and most of the best songs I love were played.
Some dude played the fucking chess throughout the entire concert. I don’t know what he was doing here, but he seemed very out of place.

Driving out from the parking lot was hellllll, it literally took us almost a hour just to get out.

I was so sleepy and tired and fell asleep immediately.
