I woke up a hour earlier, but it’s OK, I spent a lot of time just checking my phone anyways. This is my first sleep with phone in almost 2 weeks.
My clothes haven’t fully dried, so unfortunately I had to put them on while they were still a bit moist. Didn’t make any breakfast. Just finished packing the backpack and rechecked everything a billion times. Once I was finally ready, I went out and got to the tram for the airport.

It was a beautiful sunny morning. I got into the airport and headed straight to the security, since I already checked-in online. That was my first ever time, but it went very smooth and easily. I got all my stuff back 2 minutes later.
Once I was in, I realized that I really came too early, but whatever. Had 3 hours to kill, but they passed so quickly. I sat down and looked at the airplanes going into the sky.
I talked with brother, then parents, then aunt. Showed them planes. Later went to eat a mediocre burger, but it wasn’t overpriced at least.
The most surprising thing is that toilets are free in the airport. Such unseen generosity…!
Once it was time, I got into the plane literally the first. Not sure why, but there wasn’t anyone behind me, but once I sat down people started to flood and it was packed.

I could’ve bought WI-FI, but decided that it’s not worth the $10 for 2 hours. We then took off… This is my first ever time flying a plane, and I wasn’t really scared, just curious I guess.
Once we stopped ascending, the view was too far and not very interesting, so I closed the window and listened to the audiobook. It wasn’t interesting at the start, but I think it may have finally just started to be…

Captain started talking and we were already going down.
The moment we went through the clouds we started shaking a lot, and basically never stopped until landing. I haven’t puked for literally 10 years, and this was the closest I’ve ever been to it. Every time plane went up suddenly it felt like everything inside my stomach also went to my mouth. This was definitely the worst part of it, but luckily we were done after about 15 minutes…
I got out in the Helsinki airport and just immediately sat down to rest. Talked with family again to let them know how it went. Walked around a bit, and got yummy meatballs with mashed potatoes.

Helsinki airport is so nice! I really like how they use warm yellow lights everywhere. Makes everything cozy.

Boarded the plane to Tokyo. This time I bought Wi-Fi for the whole flight, which was well worth the price. And it worked the entire time too. For some reason I thought I’d be flying over the arctic, and I have no idea why I even thought that all this time. We ended up taking a way longer route that avoids Russia and goes south of it.

We got sound isolation headphones, blankets, eye mask and other stuff. Japan Airlines sure are nice…

Tasty food. They also gave us ice cream and a muffin later on. I listened to audiobook for a long time.
