Planned more of the Japan trip. Solar eclipse is happening today, and visibility is 85% in Prague. It would apparently happen pretty much at the sunset, so I was thinking where it’d be best to see it. I’ve decided to go to the TV tower.
On the way there, conveniently there was a shop with sunglasses right outside, so I bought them. I then went in, worried if there would be too many people, and it wasn’t too bad, thankfully. After Tokyo’s Skytree, this is nothing.
Sadly the sunglasses I bought weren’t enough at all. I still couldn’t look at the sun for longer than a second until it got to maximum. The glass was reflective and dirty which also made taking good photos very difficult.
Overall I didn’t really feel very strongly about it, despite it being my first solar eclipse I actually saw.
I got out and went straight home.
