I got notification that I can pick up my passport now. What the fuck, the pick up place is literally in ass of the world. It takes like 1 hour just to get there, right at the edge of Prague…
I went to the metro and transferred around. My destination was the terminal station. Penultimate station had unique blue walls, which was cool. While walking around without glasses, it made me think that my eyesight might’ve gotten worse without me noticing… I’ve been wearing glasses and contacts for so long now I already got so unused to low quality world.
Terminal station was also pretty cool. I got out and immediately spotted the bus I needed, didn’t have to wait at all.
I walked through industrial part of Prague, and it made me think if this is really the place I’m supposed to pick up my passport from… It started raining just before I got to the destination, so I had to run for a bit.
I got to MESSENGER and person there asked me for some email with code… Which I didn’t have, as my Visa application was managed by company… I went out and messaged them. It took them like 10 minutes to respond. I just stood under the roof while it rained. Thankfully, they sent me it and I got my passport back. Remember that I got #67 number, well my passport had a huge ass «67» sticker on it.
So glad I took my umbrella today. I walked back the bus while it rained, then on metro, then on tram and got out in Zizkov to go to biggest optics store. That store had all eyesight exams booked out, so I’ve decided to walk into random different store on the way there, which was conveniently right where I got out from tram.
The result was -0.75, -0.75, so my sight did get worse a bit afterall. Le sigh.
I went to eat at famous Czech baguettes place, and got tomato soup instead of fries. I’m so healthy yep yep. While there, I had to cancel the order for -0.5 contacts, which was kinda annoying, because they told me to print out label and send it back manually, even though it didn’t arrive yet.
I went to the optic I wanted to, and it was a complete disappointment. There was nothing of interest there. I wonder why is this case literally everywhere… Almost no optics have rimless glasses for some reason… I miss the small ukrainian optic where I got my glasses from, it had a way better selection…
I metroed again back home. Printed out the label on the way back.
