I went to the USA embassy. It was interesting to see that cars have to go through a checkpoint to go through the road, despite it being a normal public road. There was a lot of guards around the area.
I walked to the entrance and my passport got checked by one of the guards. He told me to turn off my phone, and after a minute of waiting, I was let in. I then put all my belongings through X-ray scanner and my phone and watch were taken away.
I went upstairs, got a number (which was 67 lol) and got my fingerprints scanned. I waited for about 20 minutes until I was called. The room had the biggest AC I’ve ever seen in my life, which I thought was fitting for USA embassy.
The interview was pretty simple. The guy was looking at the monitor, and seemingly also through my social media, and asked me questions. I was asked:
- How long I’ve lived here
- What do I do for work
- What I was studying at university
- Whether I work in cybersecurity
- Where is my family at the moment
- How long will I stay in USA
Overall it took about 5 minutes, although most of it was just silence and him doing something on the computer. I was then given the nice paper:
I got my stuff back and went back home.
I later walked to the promised glasses repair place… and they said my glasses are not repairable… It’s so over… I looked at some of the glasses they had there but I didn’t like any of them. And the price… 12k CZK for literally what. Tiny ass piece of metal with plastic that isn’t even difficult to manufacture. I said «uhhh I’ll look around more» and left.
