I had thesis pre-defense today. I’m really glad I ended up making a proper presentation, as it was required and everyone made one. Pre-defense is basically fake defense, you show your presentation and talk about your work, except you’re only given 3 minutes and don’t get any questions. It’s fine to fuck up too.
I felt a bit stressed, but not nearly as I would be if this happened a few years ago. But when it was my turn, for some reason I suddenly forgot everything and my voice started to tremble, which disappointed me… I recovered at the end, I think, but I’m definitely gonna need to write a speech before-hand for real defense, and practice it a few times before the real thing.
I made spaghetti again, now with white sauce, and it was good again! I can’t believe I’m actually getting decent at this.
Finally started coding WidgetStar from the design. All the little things in this design are so hard to recreate in CSS, it’s much easier to just use images instead. I found literally best domain for WidgetStar - widget.st, it’s so short and yet cheap and fits perfectly.
