Woke up at 6 AM and ████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

Got up kind of late because of this, and started preparing for the planned Snezka trip. I left the apartment at around 7 AM and realized something… I actually don’t have enough time to get to the bus station. I thought I would just get on metro but PID told me I’ll arrive too late (now thinking about it, I think it lied). I checked Uber and saw that I can get to bus station barely barely in time, at almost same minute, so I ordered it. It took like 4 minutes to arrive, and we somehow ended up stopping at every single traffic light ugghhghhh. I ended up getting to bus station 2 minutes late. The bus has already went away.

The next bus would come in around 2 hours, so I just sat down and waited. Got a coffee, and used my Macbook in a cafe, feeling very stereotypical. ██████████████████████████████████████████████████████

Next bus arrived, and I went into the road.

I really liked the bus… It felt cozy, and it’s really hard for me to describe what exactly causes this feeling to me.

The closer we’ve got to Snezka, the worse the weather became. When I actually arrived, I suddenly realized how cold it was. It also rained a bit. I got into the closest sportswear shop, and bought a rain coat. The moment I went outside, I immediately felt an insane difference. Going before felt really cold, going after felt comfortable and at times even hot.

During the bus ride, I was contemplating whether I should hike fully, half, or just take the funicular up there. But the deteriorating weather and questionable clothes made me decide to just ride the funicular to the top.

The weather at the top was incredibly… bad. Extremely cold, extremely fast wind, a lot of rain, everything was covered in fog. Luckily, there was a cafe on the top, and the inside was really cozy and full of people chatting and eating soup. The person who picked the playlist here was a genius.

Me and █████████████ wanted to meet at the top. Unfortunately, Polish funicular didn’t work, so he had to climb the mountain himself. I was actually really concerned about him, given the godawful weather. For the next 3 hours, I just waited for him at the top. Since I needed to fix █████████████, I pulled up my Macbook and just coded on top of the fucking Snezka lol.

I waited and waited, and then the bartender suddenly told me that they’re closing the cafe in 10 minutes… And █████████████ said he doesn’t think he can make it due to weather getting even worse. I ordered a hotdog quickly, ate it and left the cafe to the harsh winter. I went to the funicular building, which was warm. The funicular got stopped due to the bad weather, and I suddenly realized… There’s no way back.

Weather was raging, and I couldn’t go back anymore if it gets even worse. I was stuck on the mountain.█████████████ said to just come in his direction, since he can’t get to me. I went into the weather. My raincoat was actually life saving. Without it, I unironically think I could freeze to death. My legs were the most vulnerable point, since they weren’t covered by the raincoat. But the wind was so strong it kept exposing other parts of the body too.

I went into the path that said "don’t go in this direction". After around 500 meters, which felt way longer, through the slippery rocks, I saw the person standing on the path. We didn’t even really greet properly, just continued going. After a while, we got to the inn on the mountain. I was completely drenched.

We got hot chocolate and warmed up a bit. There was quite a lot of people in the inn for such weather. We were contemplating what to do, but the fact that they don’t have any free beds, made us realize that we have to push forward…

We went out into the unfriendly slippery downwards path. I saw a person outside the inn, and when they saw us go to the path, they tried to scream something but I couldn’t hear/understand what they said.

The path completely consisted from slippery rocks. Once we got down a bit, wind finally stopped and it felt much better. It was still cold and raining, but I feel like it started becoming bearable. We walked and walked, and it got darker and darker. The path was actually fucking insane. Really dangerous, and we had to be quick while we still had any sunlight.

Eventually, we got to the a bit more chill path after we crossed the waterfall. We were hoping to stay at the next inn, and when we got there we realized… It’s closed.

We pushed forward. Just used flashlight our phones to see anything. The path probably looked incredible in the daylight and good weather, but in the darkness it just felt unpleasant.

We finally saw the village lights eventually, and got to our hotel. Overall it took around 4 hours to get to safety. It’s kind of incredible what things the body can do when it needs to go forward.███████████████████████████████████████████
