I woke up from the alarm clock at 6 AM. I scrolled whatever for like 15 minutes, and my brother suddenly called me. For a second I thought that he just wanted to make sure I woke up early, but from his tone of voice I realized that something was wrong.
My dad had a stroke. They were bringing him to the hospital just as we spoke. It’s hard to describe what I felt that this moment. All I wish for, is to not have seen my parents for the last time ever on that train station. I know that if my dad died, ████████████████████████████. Please, I hope everything will be okay.
I cried for 5 minutes, but I had to get up and ready myself to go get the Visa. I went to the metro and arrived at the station. I got the building at around 7:30 AM. There was around 200 people there already… It was really confusing where the line ends and starts. There was multiple entrances, so I couldn’t tell which line is for which. I just came to the middle of the line that was certainly waiting for the door I need, and waited.
2 czech guys were loudly talking about how they want some guy to win parliament so half of ukrainians would go home. In middle of a ton of ukrainians, bruh. Nobody really said anything, but we could understand them, even though they spoke in Czech.
We got into the building, and I ended up getting ticket #51, which was quite nice. I would only have to wait 1 hour to get it done. I sat down on a chair, and started waiting. Some other guy also sat with me, and started filling the form. I helped him with filling it while we waited.
I expected there to be some kind of interview, but I didn’t get asked a single question. They just looked at my rent contract, filled in some stuff on the computer, and I got my Visa sticked into my passport. Easy! It was hard to feel happy though.
I got home, and talked with my brother about how it’s going. Apparently he had ischemic stroke, which is also called "mini stroke". If everything goes well, he should fully recover. But this also means that chance of death within 1 year after stroke is 25%. I hope everything will be fine.
