I didn’t sleep very well today. Got woken up by bright sunlight that went past my blinds and hot temperature, after 4 hours of sleep. I finally turned on the AC for the first time.

It wasn’t as effective as I thought. For some reason I thought it would work way faster, but in the end even after a few hours temperature was still quite warm and I never managed to fell back asleep.

As planned, parents came to pick me up and we went for a picnic. We got in the supermarket first and bought whatever yummies as always. This time we’ve decided to go to the basalt columns, which was in about a hour from us.

My neck hurt a lot from sitting on the backseat from some reason. There was a lot of different roads and quarries. We got into the one of roads, and stopped by the most popular spot with the actual basalt columns, with beautiful view on the water besides it.

The quarry had an island that you can see on the photos.

There was a lot of people there, and it didn’t look like a great picnic spot, so we’ve decided to check for a different place. We’ve returned a little bit to the previous quarry.

This one unfortunately had been unfortunately kinda used as a dumpster (not seen on the photos), and also didn’t really have any nice spots where you could hide from the sun. We’ve decided to return to the previous quarry but go to the different road. After the turn, we got stopped by some kids asking for donations to AFU. My dad gave them some, and we got an empty shell as a gift in return.

This spot was much nicer, although it had the largest amount of people. We started looking for spots where we could set up our stuff.

After looking around, my parents said we should set it all up in some sunny spot with barely any shade. I wasn’t satisfied at all with that place, so I continued looking. Eventually I found a very nice little garden, completely in shade. The only caveat was that it was full of trash! And there also was a huge hole full of litter nearby.

1000028152.jpg

God I fucking hate people who litter so much. I cleaned all the trash from our spot, although I couldn’t really do anything about that huge hole. It was still a much better place than what they wanted, so they moved everything in here. At least the hole wasn’t directly in our vision so it didn’t ruin everything too much. We ate, talked, had some bbq. It was a bit windy, so I enjoyed just laying down and resting, listening to the rustling of leaves.

After a while, I’ve decided to check out the beach. The water was very cold. Definitely wouldn’t swim in such temperature. They rented these little boats in there, and me and my brother contemplated for a while if we wanted to try using it to get to the island I showed before. We’ve decided to do it. We got some instructions from the person and then we were off to sail! I also got a water proof case for the phone, so I could take it with me.

This was scary and cool. I actually tweeted directly from this thing, even though it was so shaky. Riskiest tweet of my life.

We got to the island quite quickly.

We didn’t have any shoes, so walking on the island was veryyy painful. It was full of rocks and other small things, but we still explored everything.

It was visible that someone camped here before. This would be something I would really love to do some day. I can imagine how incredible it’s be to have a campfire in the night, surrounded by water, and safe from everyone else.

We had to go eventually. Slowly, to avoid too much pain to our feet, we got back to the boat and sailed back to the beach.

By the time we got back, it was already time to go home. Most of the stuff was already packed up, so we packed the rest and drove home. This time I was on the front seat, and my neck didn’t hurt at all.

We visited the supermarket again, and this time we bought a ton of cool different camping stuff we always wanted to have, in preparation of more adventures. ███████████████████████
